So I am looking for anyone with suggestions that I can use to replace the F150 Stereo Sync system. With the CD slot being lower than the actual controls and USB slots lower in the panel. The looking good I think is going to be the problem I think. I kind of just want to replace the stereo with something that works and looks good. Then if you read the sticky in this subforum on the Sync system I pretty much agree with all the posts. Yeah sounded like loose wire but that was another stock stereo replacement. Had an issue where for some reason when I sped up the left speaker was fine, when I slowed down it would cut out. CD player quit working, it just wouldn't read any CD's. They have had to replace the stereo or parts a few times. I have just grown tired of all the repairs and sync not working correctly. ![]() I just have to get it pictured in my mind and then see what sub will work in the volume available.Ok so I have 2013 F150, sync system, Sirrius XM, CD player, USB port. It will contain a subwoofer, power inverter, storage, USB2, etc. I intend to replace my front center seat with a custom console in the future. IMO the MS-8 is an actual bargain at the $477 I paid. ![]() Full aftermarket could net better results but at a much higher cost if you want to retain all factory functions. The electronics are actually not too bad in the factory system when the processing/eq is eliminated. The factory speakers are the weakest link by far so they have to go for sure. For the standard stereo (standard on XL-FX I think) you use only two inputs, not four as one might think. The MS-8 can take 8 inputs which is what one would need to integrate with the Sony system. I suppose he is paid to agree with me though. The salesman agreed that they were not great. ![]() This sleek and modern kit enhances visibility, ergonomics, and adds a sophisticated touch to your vehicle's interior. When I was testing trucks the FX4 and Platinum are models I drove. What kind of speakers did you put in and what did it cost you overall? The standard F150 stereo sounds as crappy as a 1980's factory stereo. Its so muffled compared to my previous car that I had everything custom for the audio. How do you like your jbl ms8? I hate how my stock system sounds in my xlt. ![]()
